Setting up an internet connection for your Amiga
Setting up your i12 connection couldn't be easier! Simply follow the easy steps below to get your Amiga connected to the internet using i12.

There are a number of TCP/IP Protocol programs on the Amiga, one of which is MIAMI, Miamilnit will configure MIAMI, your serial port, modem and will then try to connect you to the internet.

Once you start Miamilnit, you will be asked to choose the type of connection. You will then be asked to choose which equipment you want to use, e.g. "Amiga built in serial port".

At this point, you need to select the required driver. You will then be offered a list of modem's to choose from, if you do not see your modem, then you are asked to select a modem from the same manufacturer, or select "other", at this point you will also have to specify a Dial Prefix.

Next you have to provide Miamilnit with the i12 internet connection phone numbers. You will then need to input some information about the network you will be using, such as the IP address (specify Dynamic), Protocol, your userID (youremailaddress@i12.com) and password. Miamilnit will then attempt to dial up your provider.

When you are connected to i12, you will be sent a script (which is for PC users) that you can use a text viewer such as "Multiview" to view. Simply write down any relevant information to up date MIAMI.
